Acer has announced its stylish laptop with an ultra-thin design and a beautiful golden shell in AMD powered, Acer Aspire 5538, which designed to deliver high-definition entertainment laptop and DirectX10 graphics support. It also has support Dolby Sound Room 2nd generation.
Acer Aspire 5538 also brings AMD PowerNow! that capable to optimizes battery usage, but this notebook has about 3.5 hours of battery life with 6-cell lithium ion battery.
The Aspire 5538 comes with 15.6-inch LCD TFT screen with resolution of 1366×768 pixels in 16:9 aspect ratio, an AMD Athlon X2 L310 or an AMD Athlon 64 TF20 processor, an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330 GPU with 512MB of dedicated DDR3 RAM, 2GB of DDR2 RAM (up to 4GB)
Acer Aspire 5538 has features 160/250/320/500 GB HDD, multiple memory card reader, WiFi 802.11b/g/Draft-N, integrated webcam, Gigabit Ethernet, DVD drive, four USB 2.0 ports, an HDMI output, and optional Bluetooth 2.0.
This notebook is ultraslim with 30.8 mm reaches its thickest part but its weight is 2.4kg cannot be classified as “ultralight”. Acer Aspire 5538 has keypad, which is unusual in notebooks, and touchpad multitouch.
According to some source, its starting price is 599 euros, although this may increase depending on its configuration.
