Acer has expanded the popular line of Aspire laptops with new flagship model, called 8940 (Acer Aspire 8940), built on powerful Intel Core i7 processor with a clock frequency of 1.6 GHz.
Acer Aspire 8940 notebook is a worthy replacement for desktop PC.
Acer Aspire 8940 laptop is equipped with an 18.4-inch display with support for Full HD resolution of 1080p, an nVidia GeForce GTS 250M video card, 4GB of DDR3 RAM and Blu-ray drive. Acer Aspire 8940 has accommodates up to 500GB of HDD SATA.
New Acer Aspire 8940 notebook is uses the latest operating system, Windows 7. Acer Aspire 8940 has brings Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.0, and 5.1 speaker system. The Acer Aspire 8940 also has touchpad to control the multimedia functions.
Dimensions of Acer Aspire 8940 are 440×295x43.8 mm and weight is 4.6kg. Its battery is a Lithium-ion battery (4,800 mAh) which allows work for nearly three hours without connecting to the electrical outlet.
Acer Aspire 8940 will be available the end of the year and its cost is about $1,350 for basic configuration.
