Another cheap notebook is appears on Walmart that sells for $298. This AMD-based laptop is called the Acer Aspire AS5251-1513. The Acer‘s low-cost notebook is based on latest AMD mainstream notebook platform and has full-size keyboard with dedicated numeric keypad.
The Acer Aspire AS5251 notebook packs a 15.6-inch HD CineCrystal LCD widescreen display with resolution of 1366×768 pixels and pre-loaded with Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit OS. The Acer Aspire AS5251-1513 is boasts a 2.2GHz AMD V-Series V-120 processor, an ATI Radeon HD 4250 integrated graphics, 2GB of DDR3 RAM, and a 250GB hard drive.
The AS5251 is also brings Gigabit LAN, DVD writer, a web camera, two USB ports, VGA output, 802.11n Wi-Fi, a multi-in-1 media card reader, HDMI out, and a 6-cell lithium-Ion battery that enabling up to 3 hours of use.
