Acer Aspire AS5740 and AS7740 notebooks, Arrandale powered
Acer has unveils first two Aspire notebooks, Acer Aspire AS5740 and AS7740, which are used Intel’s new 32nm (codename Arrandale) processors and Mobility Radeon HD 5000 series GPU that support DirectX 11.
Acer Aspire AS5740 notebook is powered by a 2.26GHz Intel Core i5-530M processor, 4GB of RAM, a 500GB or 640GB hard drive, and an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 graphics card with 1GB of VRAM.
New Acer Aspire AS5740 laptop has brings a 15.6-inch HD widescreen LED-backlit LCD screen with a resolution of 1366×768 pixels (16:9), an 8x DVD writer, Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, a built-in webcam. Acer Aspire AS5740 notebook comes with a 6-cell Li-Ion battery and provides up to 4 hours of run time.
The Acer Aspire AS7740 has similar of RAM and HDD options, but Acer AS7740 has brings a 17.3-inch HD widescreen LED-backlit LCD display with resolution of 1600×900 pixel, a 2.13GHz Intel Core i3-330M processor, Intel GMA HD with 128MB dedicated video memory, a Blu-ray drive, and True 5.1-channel Surround Sound Output.
Battery of Acer Aspire AS7740 laptop is provides up to 3.5 hours of operation (6-cell Li-Ion battery).
Both Acer Aspire notebooks are used Gemstone Blue design chassis for a sleek and shiny look. Acer Aspire AS5740 and AS7740 laptops also have multi-gesture touchpads, multi-in-1 card reader, and preloaded with Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit.
Acer Aspire AS5740 and AS7740 notebooks will be shipping on January 17th in US market with starts price of $750.
