Acer Aspire Ethos 8943G and 5943G HD notebooks
Acer has announced their latest Aspire Ethos notebook series in Italy, called Acer Aspire Ethos 8943G and Acer Aspire Ethos 5943G. Both notebooks are slick design along with multimedia performance.
The Acer Aspire Ethos 8943G laptop is packs a 18-inch display with resolution of 1920×2080 pixels (Full HD), while Acer Aspire Ethos 5943G has a 15.6-inch display with resolution of 1366×768 pixels.
Both Acer Aspire Ethos 8943G and 5943G laptops are built on an Intel HM55 Express chipset, offered a choice of Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 processor. The most powerful version is a 1.73GHz Intel Core i7-820QM (3.06 GHz using Intel Turbo Boost). They are boasting an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5000 graphics.
The Acer Aspire Ethos 8943G and 5943G HD notebooks are equipped with a DVD Super Multi or Blu-ray drive (writer/read only), up to 4 GB of RAM, webcam with dual microphone, a fingerprint reader, three USB 2.0 ports, VGA, HDMI, S-PDIF, RJ-45 and eSATA, IR port, a card reader (SD/MMC/MS/MS Pro/xD), Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, and touchpad with multitouch support. Some versions of Acer Aspire Ethos 8943G and 5943G will also be equipped with a digital television receiver.
This Acer Aspire Ethos notebooks are brings audio system with five speakers, subwoofer and Dolby Home Theater surround support.
Their hard drives are choice of 160GB, 250GB, 320GB, 500GB or 640GB of capacities. Acer Aspire Ethos 8943G is capable to used two hard drives with total capacity of 1.28TB.
Dimensions of Acer Aspire 5943G are 382x269x24/39.4 mm (WxDxH) and weight 3.3 kg, while Acer Aspire 8943G is 440x295x31/43.8 mm and weight 4.6 kg.
Its 8-cell battery is provides up to 3.5 hours of use. It is pre-loaded with Windows 7 Ultimate and Home Premium (64-bit). There is no information about the cost and release date.
