Acer has officially introduced new notebook with unique design, the Acer Aspire R7. Unlike a traditional design, this flexible convertible notebook packed by a revolutionary Ezel hinge, which is allowing flips, twists, and folds. It will offers different positions and views to get type computing experience. There are four modes of operation and users can move the display forward and back.
As traditional notebook, users have to slide the display back behind the keyboard. In Display Mode, you can lip the screen over to enjoy photos or movies. To be tablet / Pad Mode, the Acer Aspire R7 laptop offers an ergonomic 4-degree tilting angle. The last mode, user is able to float the display over the keyboard at various angles in Ezel mode. Specs-wise, Acer Aspire R7 has a 15.6-inch touchscreen display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution. Along with 500GB hard drive and delivers faster boot time (also application launch speed), the R7 provides a 24GB solid state drive. The Acer Aspire R7-571-6858 flexible convertible notebook sports an Intel Core i5 processor, Intel integrated graphics, and 6GB of RAM.
This laptop is equipped with a SD card slot, three USB ports, 8W speakers with Dolby Home Theater v4, as well as a converter port supporting VGA, RJ45 and USB. Exterior of the Aspire R7 notebook is made out of unibody aluminum housing with a brushed metal hinge.
According to press release, the Acer Aspire R7 (model number: R7-571-6858) should be available on May 17th for retail price of $999.99.
