Google has silently introduced two latest laptop hybrid at the British Education and Training Technology (BETT) Show in London. They are dubbed the Acer Chromebook Spin 11 (R751T) and the Asus Chromebook C213 for education. Two machines come with a 11.6-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels.
Most selling point of Acer Chromebook Spin 11 is a military grade durability (US MIL-STD 810G compliant). Thus, it has also a stylus that powered by Wacom EMR (Electro-Magnetic Resonance) technology. Company is also adopting handwriting recognition support on its Chrome OS to support pen input, using machine learning to improve text recognition. There is optical character recognition so that users are able to search for notes without first converting handwriting to text.
The new Acer Chromebook Spin 11 R751T notebook is bringing two Acer HD wide view HDR webcams. It is including a 1MP camera that above the screen, while a 5MP camera above the keyboard, which is capable to use in tablet mode.
New Acer rugged laptop will be arrive in two models with Intel Celeron N3350 dual-core or Celeron N3450 quad-core processor, 4GB or 8GB of RAM and 32GB to 64GB eMMC flash storage options. You’ll be also found two USB 3.1 Type-C ports, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, two USB Type-A 3.0 ports and a microSD card slot. Unfortunately, detailed specifications for Asus Chromebook C213 notebook haven’t revealed yet.
