Acer Iconia Smart with 21:9 touchscreen

Acer has just announced its new Android smartphone at Mobile World Congress 2011 in Barcelona (Spain), called the Acer Iconia Smart.

The newly handset is made in candybar form factor with an impresses 4.8-inch touchscreen display with resolution of 1024 x 480 pixel (21:9 aspect ratio).

The heart of Acer Iconia Smart phone is a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 512MB RAM, and runs Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS.

Acer Iconia Smart is packs 8GB of on-board flash storage, MicroSD card slot (up to 32GB), an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, a gyroscope, an accelerometer, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, 14.4 Mbps HSDPA support, and Bluetooth 2.1.

It is support 720p HD video recording at 30 frames per second. There are HDMI interface and support for DLNA technology, as well as Dolby Mobile technology to offers a vibrant and immersive sound.

The cost of Acer Iconia Smart is still unknown at moment but scheduled to ship in the UK on May 1st, 2011.
