Acer Android netbook will be equipped with 10-inch display and Intel Atom processor. Acer Aspire One is now producing a similar configuration comes with a preloaded Windows XP operating system. It is possible that the Aspire One with Android would be cheaper than their Windows brother, as the Google Android software platform is open and is free of charge.
At the recent Computex 2009 exhibition, Acer displayed Acer Aspire One, equipped with a dual-boot machine, Windows XP and Android. This gave rise to rumors that producer is going to release a similar model in the broad market, but the company later denied these allegations.
Recall also that, even in spring of this year, Acer is not planning to release netbook with Google Android OS at all. President Gianfranco Lanci then pointed out that android best suited for handheld communications, but the computer is preferable to Windows.
