This month, the Taiwanese company, Altek Corporation will begin sale at the local market, their 12.2-megapixel camera phone, called Altek T8680 and A806.
Altek T8606 is equipped with touch screen and devoid of the keyboard, it was introduced in August this year. In September, Altek T8606 is started selling in China. Altek T8606 is a suggested retail price of NT$12,900 (about US$400.6).
Altek A806 phone is equipped with a digital keyboard and non-touchscreen. The Altek A806 is equipped with 2.4-inch screen with a resolution of 320×240 pixels, music player (formats MP3, AAC+, AAC and WAV), a slot for microSD card, and 12.2-megapixel camera with 3x optical zoom and xenon flash. Dimensions of Altek A806 are 113.5x52x16.55 mm and weight is 135g. Altek A806 will carry costs at below NT$10,000 (about US$300).
Recall, Altek Corporation is an ODM producer of digital cameras and camera module for phones. It also intends to produce mobile phone handsets with high-quality cameras.
