Amazon has silently released a new e-book reader with a super great display, called the Kindle Paperwhite. Much like the $199 Kindle Voyage, the new one has a 6-inch touchscreen display that delivering pixel density of 300ppi. Besides built-in adjustable light for reading in the dark, the Kindle Paperwhite has added new Kindle font Bookerly, which is an exclusive font designed for reading on digital screens. It also comes with all-new typesetting engine such as lays out words, dynamically adjusts the layout, and more.
New Kindle Paperwhite 2015 provides WiFi 802.11 b/g/n connectivity as well as optional 3G and EDGE/GPRS support. Similar size as the previous generation Paperwhite, this e-reader measures 6.7 x 4.6 x 0.36 inches and weighs 7.2 ounces. As comparison, the Kindle Voyage has 6.4 x 4.5 x 0.3 inches in size and 6.3 ounces weight.
Paperwhite is more expensive than the $79 entry-level Kindle. New Kindle Paperwhite e-reader is also a much crisper screen and a light. You’ll able to get the WiFi version of Amazon Kindle Paperwhite for $119. Company is also launching the Wi-Fi+3G variant at price tag $189. Reportedly, new Amazon Kindle Paperwhite 2015 e-reader will start shipping on June 30th, 2015.
