Active Media Products (AMP) introduced a new series of external solid state drives (SSD), called AMP Aviator-2.
The AMP Aviator-2 SSD series are based on the Predator SSD, which use NAND flash memory (multi-level cell technology). AMP Aviator-2 SSD is carried out SuperSpeed USB 3.0 those providing 10 times higher throughput compared to USB 2.0 interface, up to 4.8 Gbps.
AMP Aviator-2 SuperSpeed USB 3.0 external 2.5-inch SSDs are comes in 64GB and 128GB of capacities. It can reach 230 MB/s of reading and speeds up to 120-160 MB/s in writing. The manufacturer guarantees backward compatibility with USB 2.0 connectivity. Dimensions of AMP Aviator-2 USB 3.0 external SSD are 135x84x15 mm.
New AMP Aviator-2 SuperSpeed USB 3.0 external solid state drives are already available for order at price of $260 and $450 for the version of 64GB (N64G-A2) and 128GB (N128G-A2) respectively. Those interested can also buy only the Aviator-2 SuperSpeed USB 3.0 external enclosure only (NCASE-A2), costing about $35 that provides 2.5-inch hard drive or SSD.
