AMP Aviator 312 External SSD uses SuperSpeed USB 3.0
Active Media Products (AMP), known as a manufacturer of solid-state drives for notebooks and netbooks, announced a new line of external storage, Aviator 312 SSD. The main feature of these models has been used in this latest protocol, SuperSpeed USB 3.0. It is supports transfer speeds up to 4.8Gbits/sec, which is ten times faster than the conventional USB 2.0.
AMP Aviator 312 SSD using new SuperSpeed USB 3.0 technology allows reaches the speed of data exchange with a computer, previously inaccessible to the external compact storage devices. The size of AMP Aviator 312 SSD is less than 76 mm in length and only 5 mm in thickness. Thus, the AMP Aviator 312 SSD is smaller than a credit card fits easily into a jacket pocket.
High speed data transfer allows user to save on an AMP Aviator 312 SSD, the full-length video in HD quality in 25GB for about two minutes. The maximum speed of reading and writing data from the disk is 240 Mb/s and 160 Mb/s, respectively. In addition, the AMP Aviator 312 external SSD requires no external power source. AMP Aviator 312 External SSD will be available in models with a capacity of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB, it will go on sale this quarter at $89, $119 and $209 respectively in the Amazon online store.
