Active Media Products (AMP) has updated its line of SaberTooth SSD, intended to replace the regular flash drives in ASUS Eee PC netbook. New SSD named SaberTooth-S and SaberTooth-SS, they have the dimensions 70 x 32 mm, as well as the connecting Mini PCIe interface.

The new SaberTooth SS SSD is available in versions with a capacity of 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB and they are equipped with memory controller, JMicron 602B. With regard to SaberTooth S SSD, they have a capacity of 16GB and 32GB, and the memory controller, JMicron 601. Both SSDs models are built on multilevel-cell (MLC) NAND flash.

SaberTooth SS SSD is able to demonstrate the speed of reading and writing information at the level of 155 MB/s and 100 MB/s, a price of 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB version is $82.95, $124.95, $219.95, respectively. At the same time, the maximum speed of read and write data from the SaberTooth S SSD is 90 MB/s and 55 MB/s, and their versions with a capacity of 16GB and 32GB is cost $62.95 and $96.95 respectively.

According the AMP, They are guaranteed to work with ASUS Eee PC S101, 900, 900A and 901 netbook models. All SSDs has use SATA-II 3Gbps interface and have ECC.
