Apple intends build unibody iPod

Apple released its regular patent, under which the shell production technology from unibody. It can be used in the production of players, iPod. Recall the first time this technology has been used in the unibody MacBook and MacBook Pro notebooks, it saw light in October 2008.

It is anticipated that the introduction of such technology would make the new iPod players a light, thin, sturdier, and more durable, as well as reduce the costs of their production. Moreover, this technology can be used in the manufacture of various iPod. For example, in the image attached to the patent application, shows the iPod classic player. The current generation of players, as is known, uses the body, created from separate layers of aluminum and stainless steel.

In addition, the technology of shell construction from a bar of aluminum can be used in the production and other portable devices, Apple, for example, future generation’s communicator iPhone. However, in applying the new technology can greatly complicated the procedure for the repair and replacement of some parts of the device.
