Apple talks sell iPhone lite through Verizon

As we already informed, Apple is negotiating with mobile operator Verizon about the possible sale of communicator’s iPhone through its stores. Of course, it will be possible only after the end of next year, the duration of exclusive agreements Apple with AT&T. In a new article published by an influential business site, BusinessWeek says the desire to bring Apple into the market through Verizon stores two device, one of which must be announced this summer. The source called it “iPhone lite” and describes how the smaller and cheaper device for calls. Other news sources describe as a media tablet that will listen to music and view photos and high definition video. In addition, using this device would be to make calls over WiFi connection.

Moreover, as reported, to reduce the cost of iPhone lite, Apple intends to use its so called “system on a chip” that combines several hardware components into a single package. This decision has really easy and the finished product to make it less costly.

The second media device now under development, according to available information, it will be smaller than e-book Amazon Kindle. However, it will have touch screen size. This implies that the device is likely to be equipped with only a screen keyboard. Apple has already created prototypes of these devices, Apple CEO Steve Jobs, leaves until June, took part in this process.
