Apple’s 2016 MacBook Pro with Touch Bar and TouchID

Apple has finally announced the brand new MacBook Pro models in Cupertino. Apple’s new 2016 MacBook pro comes with completely redesigned that claims an ‘incredibly extreme’ with metal on all the sides.

Best thing from the device, it adopts the OLED touch strip at the top of the machine. Company calls the feature is Touch Bar. It has the attention right from the outset that makes a new design language. The 13-inch model of new 2016 MBP is the thinnest and the lightest ever. It measures just about 14.9mm thick and weighing only 3 pounds.


Alongside the OLED Touch Bar, there is a TouchID that deployed in the new MacBook Pro as users are able to make purchases directly through the Touch Bar. Since the Touch Bar to replace many keyboard functions, users is able to customize their Touch Bar by replacing and moving around controls. By using the Touch Bar, users can view their images, scroll through albums, add effects to images, and more.

The second generation Touch ID fingerprint scanner is protected by a sapphire glass cover. Apple TouchBar is also respond to both taps and gestures. Traditional function keys are still available on the new 2016 Apple MacBook Pro such as the Esc button (unlike what the rumors suggested). However, it isn’t a dedicated key but more of a software implementation.

Apple’s new 2016 MacBook pro comes in two sizes; 13-inch and 15-inch. It’s also offering two color options – Silver and Space Grey. Speaking of weight, the 13-inch has just three pounds, while the 15-inch version is set at four pounds.

The new MacBook Pro provides a 67 percent brighter display. That’s a 67 percent better contrast ratio and 25 percent more colors too. The good news, this enhancement does not increase the power consumption. According to the Cupertino giants, the machine is providing a massive Force Touch trackpad. It is along with the second generation butterfly mechanism keyboard.

Inside, it boasts a quad-core Intel Core i7 chip with 2.133MHz and 16GB of RAM that found on the new 15-inch MacBook Pro model. The machine has an ATI Radeon Pro graphics card with up to 4GB of RAM.

The 13-inch MBP brings either Core i5 or i7 processor that together with Intel Iris Pro graphics and 8GB of RAM. New system offers 256GB or 512GB SSD storage on board, but users are able to custom configure all the way up to 2TB of capacity.

All of the new MacBook pro models are carrying four Thunderbolt 3 USB Type-C ports. So, users can easily charge the machine using anyone of them. The battery life will have about 10 hours that slightly longer than the older machines. Sadly, the 2016 MBP doesn’t provide SD card slot, Thunderbolt, USB, DisplayPort, HDMI and VGA ports.

Moving on to the price tag section, the 13-inch MacBook Pro laptop costs $1799, while the 15-inch variants starts at $2399.
