Archos FamilyPad 2 dual-core 13.3-inch Android tablet made officially

Via its Facebook fans page, Archos has officially announced its latest Android tablet, the Archos FamilyPad 2. It is successor to the previous generation of FamilyPad tablet, which was released in November 2012. Running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system, the 13.3-inch Archos FamilyPad 2 tablet is boasts a dual-core 1.6GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor with quad-core Mali 400 MP4 GPU, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal memory. The FamilyPad 2 will have two 2-megapixel cameras on the back and front. It packs a 13.3-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels

This Archos tablet has also HDMI output, microUSB port, Wi-Fi connectivity and a microSD card slot (up to 64GB). Made out of slick aluminum case, dimensions of Archos FamilyPad 2 are 337 x 230 x 11.6 mm and weigh 1.3 kg.

The company has also revealed pricing of the FamilyPad 2 tablet for €299, which would be available in Europe very soon.
