A few days ago we were talking about the Asus P6X58 motherboard that had the feature of being the first to possess USB 3.0 port. That motherboard has featured both USB3 and SATA 6GB. Unfortunately the production of this motherboard was canceled.
Why? For now it is not known, even if it is related to the new USB ports or not, and a spokesperson for Asus told The Inquirer that “not for any particularly interesting reasons.”
At this moment, it’s not clear what the Asus‘s decision to cancel the motherboard, it had anything with USB 3.0 performance or not. Perhaps, for the next product refresh.
