Asus Eee Pad Transformer to ship in the US on April 26th
In Japan, there is Toshiba Regza AT300 Honeycomb tablet that serious Motorola Xoom competitor. In both US and Canada, Asus will ship its Android tablet on April 26th, known as the Asus Eee Pad Transformer.
This Asus tablet is comes with Tegra 2 chip and runs Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) OS. Asus Eee Pad Transformer tablet will bring two versions on their market – 16GB version and 32GB of storage space.
Specifications of Asus Eee Pad Transformer are a 10.1-inch IPS capacitive touchscreen display with Gorilla Glass covered and a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixel, Tegra 2 SoC, a 5MP rear-facing camera, a 1.2MP front camera, and an SD memory card slot. The Eee Pad Transformer Honeycomb tablet is also providing Bluetooth 2.1, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, and a mini HDMI output.
The Asus Eee Pad Transformer Android tablet has dimensions of 271 x 177 x 12.98 mm with weights 680 grams. Price of Asus Eee Pad Transformer tablet are $399 for 16GB and $499 for 32GB model.
Asus also will offer the keyboard docking station for Transformer. It will be selling for $149 that providing a QWERTY keyboard, two USB 2.0 ports, Android function keys, SRS premium sound, a 4-in-1 media card reader, and built-in battery that good for up to 16 hours per charge.
