ASUS has newly-published product page of the new Eee PC Seashell netbook, called Asus Eee PC 1001PX, which is the first details appeared in the web a week ago.

As it turned out, the main feature of ASUS Eee PC 1001PX is matte screen coating designed to make it more comfortable to outdoor environment. The ASUS Eee PC 1001PX netbook has a 10.1-inch LED Backlight WSVGA Non-Glare Screen with native resolution of 1024×600 pixels.

The ASUS Eee PC Seashell 1001PX netbook is equipped with a 0.3MP web camera, 1GB or 2GB RAM, a 160GB or 250GB hard drive, two USB 2.0 port, VGA and RJ45 connector, card reader, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, and optional Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR. The Eee PC 1001PX is boasts a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor with integrated Intel GMA 3150 graphics. This Seashell netbook is pre-loaded with Windows XP or Windows 7 Starter OS.

Its battery is provides up to 4.5 hours or 9 hours depending on battery type.

Dimensions of ASUS Eee PC 1001PX are 262(W)x178(D)x25.9~36.5(H) mm and weight 1.1kg (with 6-cell battery). The Asus 1001PX is available in three color options, black, white, and blue.
