Asus Eee PC 1016P and 1018P Seashell netbooks, available for pre-order
Previously, Asus has confirmed to release the Asus Eee PC 1016P and 1018P Seashell netbooks in Q3 2010. Both netbooks are now available for pre-order at ExcaliberPC.com and claimed to begin shipping in US market on July 29th.
The Asus Eee PC 1018P Seashell netbook sports a 10.1-inch display with resolution of 1024 x 600 pixel, 1GB DDR2 RAM, an Intel GMA 3150 integrated graphics, and a 250GB hard drive with extra storage with 500GB online storage via a one-year subscription. The 1018P netbook is equipped with a multi-card reader, a 0.3 megapixel webcam, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, 10/100 LAN, Bluetooth 3.0, and a 6-cell battery with 44W/h capacity and provides up to 10 hours of runtime.
As similar to the 1018P netbook, the Asus Eee PC 1016P Seashell netbook packs a 320GB hard drive, 2GB DDR3 memory, Gigabyte Ethernet, a 48W/h battery with enabling up to 10 hour of use, and an USB 3.0 port.
Both Seashell netbooks should be available with Windows 7 Starter pre-installed. The price of Asus Eee PC 1018P Seashell netbook is $429, while Asus Eee PC 1016P Seashell netbook is $499.
