ASUS Eee PC with Moblin in October?

According to the German resource Netbook News, referring to a reliable source informed, the ASUSTeK is preparing to release Eee PC netbook with a preloaded Moblin Linux operating system. It was expected that it will be released in October this year.

Recall Moblin operating system is developed under the auspices of Intel, it is intended for devices with small size of the display, focusing on web surfing, MID or netbook. ASUS Eee PC, based on Moblin, presumably, it would not be a new model, a version of one of the existing ones. This may be one of a series Seashell netbook.

Netbook News also reported that Google is collaborating with ASUSTeK, and plans to create a product based on the new operating system, Chrome, which is currently under development. This project already employs a team from 35 staff of the Taipei office.
