Asus K53U Brazos-based laptop shipping now
The new AMD Brazos-powered laptop from Asus is currently available in Japan. New Fusion notebook is known as the Asus K53U that brings the IceCool and Palm Proof technology, and Power4Gear function.
The Asus K53U Fusion laptop is boasts an AMD E-350 APU with two x86 cores @ 1.6GHz paired with Radeon HD 6310 (DirectX 11) graphics, AMD A50M chipset, 2GB of RAM, and a 320GB hard drive with Windows 7 Home Premium (64bit) and Office Personal 2010 pre-installed.
K53U Brazos-based notebook has also a 15.6-inch LED-backlit display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, a 0.3 megapixel webcam, a 4-in-1 card reader, Gigabit Ethernet LAN, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, Altec Lansing speakers, and a 6-cell 5200 mAh battery. There are three USB 2.0 ports, HDMI output, and Bluetooth 2.1.
Dimensions of Asus K53U are 378 x 253 x 33 ~ 35mm and weigh about 2.6kg. In Japanese market, the Asus K53U laptop can be found at price of 59,800 yen (about $743).
