Asus has officially presented one of their new toys few days ago, the new O!Play HDP-R1 HD media player. This media player is compatible with high-definition video playback in variety of codecs.

This O!Play HDP HD-R1 is compatible with video MPEG1/2/4, H.264, Real Media/RMVB and VC-1, with a long list of extensions, .mp4, .mov, .avi, .divx, and .mkv, subtitles SRT, SUB, SSA and SMI or JPEG images , PNG, TIFF.

How to play your videos and movies? Simple, includes a USB 2.0 port and one USB 2.0/eSATA combo port for connecting directly hard disk, you can also make streaming connecting to the local network through Ethernet, and unfortunately it does not include WiFi. Asus O!Play HDP-R1 HD Media Player has not hard drive or memory included, only a multimedia player. Dimensions are 181.0×125.3×47.7mm (W x D x H) and weight is 491g.

According information, this device has already available in Spain and the price is 119 €.
