ASUS O!Play media player: debuts at Computex 2009

It became known that at the beginning the Computex exhibition, ASUS will present a media player called O!Play (HDP-R1). This is not a portable model, a fully functional big media to store and play music and video.

It is anticipated that the device is based on the new media player production Realtek chip, which surpasses the capabilities of their existing solutions, including the frequently used Sigma 8634/8635. ASUS O!Play is equipped with all standards for this type of device connectors: stereo audio, composite video, optical digital audio, HDMI, Ethernet port and a combined USB / eSATA. With the help of a local area network (LAN) connection, you can transfer files to NAS, PC or home server.

ASUS O!Play Media player supports a wide range of formats and codecs, including MPEG 1, 2, 4, DivX, H.264, VC-1, RM / RMVB, AVI, VOB, MOV, MKV, ASF, Xvid, and WMV for video; MP3, WAV, PCM / LPCM, AAC, Dolby Digital, FLAC, DTS, AIFF, OGG for audio as well as images JPEG, BMP, PNG, GIF, TIFF and subtitles SRT, SUB, SMI, SSA.
