ASUS P6T7 WS SuperComputer motherboard, official announcement
ASUS officially introduced its powerful P6T7 WS SuperComputer motherboard, intended for use in modern workstations. For the first time this product has been demonstrated in Hanover at CeBIT, 2009, and its description appears on the site of the manufacturer.
ASUS P6T7 WS SuperComputer motherboard has 7 slots, PCI-Express x16, and supports up to three professional graphics NVIDIA Tesla, complemented by a 3D accelerator NVIDIA Quadro. This configuration, together with support for CUDA technology enables you to use calculations in parallel to the 960 stream processors. This delivers the level of computing power in the 4 teraflops of processing power that’s delivering 250* times faster computing and graphics processing performance. In addition, there is support for 3-way and 2-way mode SLI technology and CrossFireX, increases the flexibility and power of the motherboard. For the realization of SLI-mode card is equipped with two chips NVIDIA NF200.
Motherboard P6T7 WS SuperComputer includes a 16+2 phase, 16 of which phases are designed to kernel vCore, and 2 phase the remaining to supply the controller vDRAM/QPI. In addition, the power is VRM-module and the Japanese conductive polymer capacitors, which in combination with special filters with ferrite core increases the quality and reliability of power system components.
P6T7 WS SuperComputer Motherboard is based on the Intel X58 chipset and it is equipped with a socket LGA1366 support modern Intel Core i7 processors, Core i7 Extreme Edition, and Intel Xeon 3500 series. In addition, there are 6 slots for DIMM-DDR3 2000 memory modules, totaling up to 24 GB. Plata has six ports SATA, two SAS and two eSATA (all with the support of RAID mode), as well as 12 USB 2.0 ports and built-audiochip supporting 8-channel HD-audio.
