Asus has officially announced its next-generation PadFone Infinity at Mobile World Congress 2013 event. Combining functionality of smartphone and tablet, the concept is allowing the handset plug into a tablet shell. So, it comes in two devices – PadFone Infinity Station (tablet dock) and PadFone Infinity (smartphone). This hybrid phone / tablet should be available in the UK for price of £799 that’s meaning about $1210 or €910. 
Asus PadFone Infinity Smartphone
Specs-wise, Asus PadFone Infinity has a 5-inch touchscreen display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolutions and pixel density of 441ppi. This phone boasts a 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor along with 2GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. New PadFone Infinity smartphone runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system.
Its cameras are including a 13-megapixel sensor on the back with 1080p video recording and support for continuous shooting at 8fps, while the front is a 2MP snapper. The PadFone Infinity smartphone is equipped with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, GPS / GLONASS , and a standard set of sensors. It will works with GSM, WCDMA and LTE mobile networks.
Asus PadFone Infinity Station Tablet Dock
Next device, it is Asus PadFone Infinity Station, which acts as a tablet form. It has a 10.1-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. In this case, the PadFone Infinity Station has its own battery that enabling increase battery life for 40 hours from only 19 hours. The Asus PadFone Infinity Station is also equipped with 1-megapixel front camera, MicroUSB 2.0 port and a set of sensors.
Reportedly, the Asus PadFone Infinity hybrid device will be available starting April.
