Asus S1 Ion2 Nettop in Europe Now
Asus has an interesting barebone system that known as the Asus S1 (Asus S1-AT5NM10E). The device is based on Nvidia ION2 and dual-core CPU.
The Asus S1 Ion2 nettop sports an IR-remote sensor, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, a SD/MS card reader, Gigabit Ethernet (Realtek RTL8111E), two USB 3.0 and four USB 2.0 interface, firewire, and a 3.5-inch bay for addition to a slim DVD-Writer with two SATA ports.
Asus S1-AT5NM10E nettop is boasts a 1.8GHz Intel Atom D525 dual-core processor, Nvidia’s second-generation ION chip (a 40nm GT218 GPU), Intel NM10 chipset, two DDR3 slots (up to 4GB of memory), and 65W AC external adapter.
New Asus S1 mini desktop has also 7.1 channel HD audio (Realtek ALC887), a 3-in-1 card reader, a HDMI output, and Express Gate instant-on OS. The power on/off system is using the power button of a MCE compatible remote. Dimensions of Asus S1-AT5NM10E are 267 x 68.3 x 196.6 mm.
