ASUS TS Mini, new compact server for home/SOHO
ASUS is begun selling their compact server, ASUS TS Mini, it is designed for use at home or in the small offices.
ASUS TS Mini Home Server is positioned as the central point of modern “digital home”, it is running the Windows Home Server operating system. Users will be able to connect to the server desktops and laptops to communicate with each other or to backup media.
ASUS TS Mini Home Server is powered by an Intel Atom N280 processor with a clock speed of 1.66GHz, a 1GB or 2GB RAM. ASUS TS Mini Home Server also has support dual 3.5-inch hard drive with capacity of 2TB each, six USB 2.0 port and two eSATA port that can connect up to eight external drives.
Among the features of ASUS TS Mini server is Folder Duplication feature, which is allowing improving the reliability of data storage for duplicate files on two internal hard drives, remote access, monitoring system server in real time (ASWM Management), and Xtor Manager, which is allowing user to synchronize and copy information between internal and external hard drives.
The ASUS TS Mini will be offers a free annual subscription to an online storage service, WebStorage Service account with a 500GB capacity.
New ASUS TS Mini Server has size of 245x96x204 mm and weight is about 2.7kg (without memory and hard drive). The cost of new ASUS TS Mini is $350 with a 500GB HDD and $530 with 2TB HDD.
