Asus Zenfone 6 affordable phablet with Intel Atom CPU, Android 4.3 OS

Asus has recently launched a new family of its smartphone, the Asus ZenFone. One of their members is known as the Asus Zenfone 6 that the biggest model of this family. The new 6-inch smartphone comes with GloveTouch and PenTouch technology, which lets users to operate the handset with a stylus or while wearing gloves. Based on these features, so it’s likely to be the phablet category. Company says the phone is designed for productivity and entertainment experiences.



The Asus ZenFone 6 runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system and promised an update to Android 4.4 KitKat in the future. It brings a 6-inch 720p HD touchscreen display, a 13MP rear-facing BSI camera with ASUS PixelMaster technology, and a 2MP front camera for selfie or video calls. Inside of Asus ZenFone 6 has a 2 GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2580 processor, 1GB / 2GB of RAM, and 8GB / 16GB of onboard storage.

New phablet comes with a 3,240 mAh battery, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth, and GPS. This HSPA+ phone lack 4G LTE connectivity, which is disappointing for some consumers. However, the ZenFone 6 offers incredibly cheap that cost $199 contract-free. There are four different color options — Charcoal Black, Pearl White, Cherry Red, and Champagne.

Update: its screen resolution is 1280 x 720 pixel. The phone measures 166.9 x 84.3 x 9.9 – 5.5 mm with weighing 200 grams. There is a microSD card slot that holds up to 64GB card.
