AT&T Samsung Evergreen QWERTY Phone
Besides Samsung M360 simple clamshell phone, Samsung just announced a new mobile phone that called the Samsung Evergreen a667 for AT&T U.S. mobile operator. Like the M360 handset, Samsung Evergreen is a green handset that provides 70% made out of recycled post-consumer plastics, 80% of its packaging contains recycled post-consumer paper.
Finally, Samsung Evergreen is being free of PVC2, BFR3 and Beryllium that meets strict RoHS standards (Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive). It also an Energy Star Version 2.0 qualified energy efficient charger (level V). Samsung Evergreen will donate $1 for every device sold to the non-profit organization Cell Phones for Soldiers. The organization was founded by teenagers Robbie and Brittany Bergquist from Norwell.
AT&T Samsung Evergreen a667 phone is brings a sliding QWERTY keyboard, 2.4-inch display, a 2 megapixel camera, optical joystick, music player, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS, and microSD/microSDHC card slot (up to 32GB). Samsung Evergreen works in GSM/GPRS/EDGE and UMTS/HSDPA networks.
Samsung Evergreen eco-friendly handset is selling for $29.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and 2-year contract (also a monthly plan of at least $20 is required). It should be start available on November 7th.
