Bandai has submitted its second netbook intended primarily for children. Its Bandai netbook has been named Rilakkuma and it is very similar to the first model Gachapin & Mukku netbook. This suggests that the second version of kids netbook also made on the capacity of the Kohjinsha. The only glaring difference between the two models is to change the color scheme and theme of its desktop. Apparently, designers inspired to Bear Rilakkuma, the popular hero of Japanese cartoons and books for children.
Bandai Rilakkuma netbook has equipped with an 8.9-inch screen with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels, Intel Atom N270 processor with a clock speed of 1.6 GHz, 1GB of RAM, and 160 GB hard disk capacity. There is also a Wi-Fi 802.11b/g module and a 1Seg digital TV tuner, and its weight 1.08kg. The cost of Bandai Rilakkuma netbook is 79,800 yen (about $865). It is limited only 500 units.
