The Canadian company, Research In Motion (RIM) has just official announced its professional-grade tablet, called the BlackBerry PlayBook. It is presentation at the BlackBerry DEVCON 2010. The BlackBerry PlayBook is runs on BlackBerry Tablet OS that based on the QNX Neutrino microkernel architecture.

In addition, the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet is support of Adobe Flash Player 10.1, WebKit/HTML-5, Adobe Mobile AIR and Java.

The BlackBerry PlayBook tablet is sports dual HD cameras (3MP front, 5MP rear) that supports 1080p HD video recording. In addition, BlackBerry PlayBook tablet has a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen LCD display with resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels and support for full multitouch, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, microHDMI and MicroUSB ports, and stereo speakers.

Newly RIM tablet has brings apps for edit documents, e-book reader and media player with support for MP3, AAC, WMA, H.264, MPEG, DivX and WMV. There is also support for enterprise platform, BlackBerry Enterprise Server.

Dimensions of BlackBerry PlayBook tablet are 130 x 193 x 10 mm and weight 400g. It will start sale in early 2011. In addition, RIM will also offer 3G and 4G model in the future.
