BlackBerry Storm2 for Europe, official announcement
European operator, Vodafone officially announced the BlackBerry Storm2 (9520) smartphone. Like the first Storm, new touchscreen has almost the entire front panel and has no keyboard. In the version for Vodafone BlackBerry Storm2 phone works in networks GSM and UMTS (also in the United States should go to the Verizon model with support for CDMA/UMTS/GSM).
Furthermore, compared with the first Storm, BlackBerry Storm2 technology has improved tactile control, SurePress. The Vodafone operator will begin selling new items on October 26 (at least in UK). BlackBerry Storm2 also will appear in Ireland, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, France, Italy and South Africa. In the UK, BlackBerry Storm2 will be free at the conclusion of a two-year contract with a monthly payment of £35 (about $56). Prices for other countries will be announced separately.
