BlackBerry Style 9670 Clamshell Smartphone, Officially
Sprint U.S. mobile operator and Research In Motion (RIM) Canadian company finally announced the elegant flip smartphone, the BlackBerry Style 9670. The first details of this BlackBerry smartphone were appeared in April.
The BlackBerry Style 9670 is made out of clamshell form factor. It is equipped with a full QWERTY keyboard, the main display with a resolution of 360 x 400 pixels, external screen with resolution of 320 x 240 pixels, 5 megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash, 512MB of internal memory, MicroSD/MicroSDHC memory card with up to 32GB (a 8GB card included), Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, 3.5mm audio connector, and GPS.
An 1150 mAh battery of BlackBerry Style 9670 provides up to 4.5 hours of talk time, up to 14 hours of music playback, up to 10.5 days of standby time.
Sprint BlackBerry Style 9670 smartphone is powered by 624MHz processor and running on BlackBerry OS 6.
The BlackBerry Style 9670 smartphone is designed for CDMA EV-DO, later RIM will release GSM and UMTS/HSDPA version. It will be available in black and purple colors.
The cost of new BlackBerry Style 9670 in the U.S. is $99.99 on a 2-year contract and after a $100 mail-in rebate. BlackBerry Style 9670 will start selling on October 31, 2010.
