BlackBerry Z10 and Q10 with BB10 OS made officially, get priced

BlackBerry (previously known as the Research in Motion / RIM) has officially announced two first smartphone to run its latest mobile operating system, the BlackBerry Z10 and the BlackBerry Q10. As expected, both handsets run new BlackBerry 10 (BB10) OS that offers a totally of 70,000 apps in its store.

As its trademark, the BlackBerry Q10 comes with a physical QWERTY keyboard. It has a 3.1-inch touchscreen AMOLED display with a resolution of 720 x 720 pixels and 330ppi pixel density. The new Blackberry Q10 boasts a dual-core 1.5GHz TI OMAP 4470 processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of onboard storage. Other features on Q10 are including microUSB 2.0, NFC, 3.5mm headset jack, WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n, and Bluetooth 4.0.

Unlike Q10, the BlackBerry Z10 doesn’t have QWERTY keyboard. This phone brings a 4.2-inch touchscreen display with 356 ppi and 1280 x 768 resolutions.

Heart of the new BlackBerry Z10 is a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus dual-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB / 32GB of internal storage, and a 1,800 mAh battery. The touch-only Z10 is equipped with an 8MP camera on the back with 1080p Full HD video recording and Time Shift mode, as well as a front-facing 2MP camera with 720p video capturing.

Other features are micro SIM, a microSD card slot, and a removable 1,800 mAh battery (up to 10 hours of talk time). In connectivity term, there are HDMI out, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, 4G LTE, NFC, and a 3.5 mm headset jack,

According to press release, AT&T will launch the touch-only BlackBerry Z10 and the QWERTY-equipped BlackBerry Q10 smartphones. Verizon Wireless should be selling the BlackBerry Z10 for price tag $199.99 on a 2-year contract. It will be available in black and exclusive white color options. The Z10 smartphone will become available in the US in March, while the United Arab Emirates is plans sold starting February 10.
