Bluetooth 3.0 + HS (High Speed), specs official
Organization of Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) unveiled the official specifications of the Bluetooth wireless third generation standard. The new standard is called Bluetooth 3.0 + HS (High Speed) and reportedly takes advantage of the availability of many devices, Bluetooth Wi-Fi module for use with a high-speed interface. In other words, this device can theoretically reach speeds of data transmission at 24Mbps, as in the normal connection Wi-Fi 802.11g. Moreover, this technique can reduce power consumption compared to the one where the only Bluetooth-connection.
As the experts of Bluetooth SIG, the new standard could be used, for example, for wireless transmission of high definition video from your camcorder to your TV or computer, as well as for file transfer large volumes of mobile phones. Bluetooth 3.0 Standard can also be used in the creation of simultaneous connections to Bluetooth protocols and the Wi-Fi between nearby devices.
Chipsets with integrated Bluetooth 3.0, as reported, will be available in the finished product by the end of the year. Some devices that support a connection to the existing Protocol Bluetooth 2.1 will also be able to use the new standard after the upgrade of its software.
