Boeye E510, world’s thinnest E-book
The Chinese company, Shenzhen Boeye Technology has demonstrated at the electronics fair in Hong Kong (Hong Kong Electronics Fair, HKEF 2009), E510 e-book reader. They are claims to be the most subtle devices of this kind, and apparently true: its thickness does not exceed 7.7 mm. However, Boeye E510 is fairly compact model, it is equipped with a 5-inch display based on electronic paper, its resolution is 800×600 pixels, and the display can display 16 shades of gray.
Boeye E510 will be offered in several versions with different memory: 2GB, 4GB, 8GB or 16 GB. Wireless capabilities in E-book is available, the content can be copied via the USB interface (there is a Mini USB port). Boeye E510 e-reader has supports not only text files but also images JPG, GIF, PNG, BMP and TIF, as well as audio MP3, WMA and WAV. Boeye E510 battery capacity is 1000 mAh and it provides up to 15 days of battery life. There is no word about release date and it’s pricing.
