Buffalo HDS-CXU hardware encrypting-enabled external HDD
Buffalo has just announced a new hardware encrypting-enabled external hard drive, the Buffalo HDS-CXU2. The new drive is a desktop storage with a 3.5-inch hard drive.
New Buffalo HDS-CXU2 external drive is comes with SecureLock Manager Software, which is allowing administrators to adjust different levels of security depending on user’s needs. In addition, Buffalo HDS-CXU2 is bundled with ecoManager that capable saving up to 17 per cent of power consume.
Buffalo HDS-CXU2 external HDD is provides hardware AES 256bit encryption and password authentication. It is uses a USB 2.0 interface. Dimensions of Buffalo HDS-CXU2 are 175 x 156 x 45 mm and weight about 1.1 kg.
New Buffalo HDS-CXU2 external hard drive will start sale in February 2011 for price of $203 (1TB version) and $280 (2TB model).
