Buffalo HDS-PH500U2 MiniStation DataVault, 500GB rugged and encrypted storage
Japanese company, Buffalo has submitted a new product in a MiniStation DataVault series of drive, HDS-PH500U2. This external hard drive with a capacity of 500 GB spindle speed at 5,400 rpm, it can be connected to a computer via USB interface. The new hard drive, like the rest of the model series, offers “advanced” encryption of information stored on it. Encryption is performed automatically by using 128-bit AES algorithm. Thus, access to information stored on the hard drive can only be obtained after entering the password, so if it is lost or stolen, information leakage is not fear.
In addition, the new representative of the MiniStation DataVault Series well enough for the hard drive brings random attacks, and even the fall: it is enclosed in a durable case with shock-absorbing surface.
