Canon has expanded its compact camera lineup with the Canon Ixus 220 HS. The ultra-compact camera sports a 12.1-megapixel back-lit CMOS sensor and stainless steel body with slim and undeniably stylish.
The Canon Ixus 220 HS camera has brings 24mm ultra-wide angle lens with a 5x optical zoom (24-120 mm), high quality 2.7-inch PureColor II G LCD display, and optional waterproof casing for shoot underwater (up to three meters with WP-DC320L or up to 40m with WP-DC41).
Canon Ixus 220 HS camera is boasts powerful DIGIC 4 processing technology, SD/MMC card slot, an HDMI and USB 2.0 port. It has features a highly-effective optical Image Stabilizer, high-speed Burst and Super Slow Motion Movie, and Movie Digest.
The Canon Ixus 220 HS camera can record video in Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) at 24 frames per second, 320 x 240 resolution at 240fps (with Super Slow Motion Movie), and Smart Auto mode.
Dimensions of Canon Ixus 220 HS are 92 x 56 x 20 mm and weight about 140 grams (with battery). It will be start selling later this month but no word on pricing yet.
