Casio today has introduced a new extreme rugged digital camera, Exilim EX-G1, it is equipped with 12.1 effective megapixel images. The Casio Exilim EX-G1 camera is made in a robust sealed housing, aimed primarily at people who were infatuated with sports fans of active leisure and extreme. The Casio Exilim EX-G1 is used at depths at 10 feet for 60 continuous minutes. It is capable of withstanding temperatures as low as minus 10 degrees Celsius. It is capable drops into a hard surface from a height of up to 2.13 m.
According to manufacture, Casio Exilim EX-G1 is the thinnest shock-resistant camera in the world; its thickness is 19.9mm. Casio Exilim EX-G1 camera is equipped with an automatically adjust, the Best-Shot system and interval shooting function that allows the Casio Exilim EX-G1 to automatically take snapshots and record video at specified intervals (10 or 30 seconds, 1, 3, 10, 20 or 30 minutes). It also has maximum image resolution of 4000×3000 pixels, and video recording with a resolution of 640×480 pixels or 848×480 pixels at 30 frames per second.
New Casio Exilim EX-G1 lens is equipped with a 3x optical zoom lens (focal length is 38-114 mm equivalent to 35-millimeter film camera), a slot for microSDHC/microSD, 2.5-inch screen, a timer for 2 and 10 seconds. Casio Exilim EX-G1 dimensions are 103.5×64.2×19.9 mm and weight is 154g (with battery and memory card). Casio Exilim EX-G1 rugged camera is available in black and red colors.
The Casio Exilim EX-G1 will be debut on market in December 2009 with costs at $299.99.
