Casio Exilim EX-ZR700 and EX-ZR400 faster point-and-shoot cameras

Casio has introduced a pair of high-speed compact cameras, the Casio Exilim EX-ZR700 and the Casio Exilim EX-ZR400. Both Exilim series cameras sport the Exilim Engine HS Version 3 (dual CPU) that delivers a high-speed burst mode. The Casio Exilim EX-ZR700 and EX-ZR400 provide a 16.1-megapixel CMOS sensor, a wide angle lens and a 3-inch LCD display.

New Casio Exilim EX-ZR400 offers long battery life, which allowing about 515 photos in capturing per single charge. That’s making perfectly for use in vacations, hiking, and so on. Its lens support a 12.5x optical zoom (24-300 mm) but total zoom is 25x through Multi-Frame SR Zoom technology.

The Exilim EX-ZR700 camera utilized 18x optical zoom lens (36x digital zoom) and 25-450 mm lens (equivalent to 35mm format). Two cameras are capable to slide panorama captures with 360-degree panoramic images.

As speed performance, the EX-ZR700 has a 1.4s on startup time, 0.18s AF speed, a 0.26s on capture interval, while shutter response speed is 0.016 seconds. The EX-ZR400 delivers 0.99 seconds for startup, 0.14 seconds on auto focus speed, 0.26s of capture interval time, and 0.015 seconds on shutter response.

Release date or pricing of both faster cameras are unknown at moment.
