Collins updates CinemaView series for Mac
Collins America has decided to update a series of LCD displays for Mac. New CinemaView series is designed for computers that support the Apple Mini DisplayPort. These monitors are capable of reproducing video as 1080p. The younger model is a new line CinemaView is 24 inches diagonal. CinemaView 24 will receive a four USB port, the response time is 2ms, a contrast of 1000:1. Price model remains the same is $499, start of sales is appointed in October of this year.
Completely new in the lineup is a CinemaView 47. It has 47-inch size, the possibility of combining TV and PC display. The model reproduces the same video as a 1080p, if used as a computer display, while also using Mini DisplayPort for video signal. This model has four USB port, but somewhat larger, as compared with the younger model response time is 4ms, and 4000:1 contrast ratio. It will to retail in January 2010 and it is expected that its cost will be about $1,499.
The device, known as CinemaView TV, has dual cable HDTV tuner and outputs to HDMI and Mini DisplayPort, which are designed to display images on the Apple or Collins display with TV functions, including Picture-in-Picture function. It also supports reception of video signals from four separate sources; HDMI, Mini DisplayPort, component or RCA connectors. The set has a remote control. Its deliveries are planned in January 2010, the cost model will be about $399.
