Korean company, Cowon have expanded its portable media player lineup with Cowon V5 HD. The main feature of new Cowon V5 HD Media Player is a functioning running Windows CE 6.0 with a proprietary user interface. Cowon V5 HD PMP is able to play HD video (H.264 standard). In addition, their content can be output to a compatible TV or monitor via HDMI connectivity. It is reported that the Cowon V5 HD player works with many different audio and video formats, but the list has not yet been published.

Cowon V5 HD is equipped with 4.8-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 480×800 pixels (WVGA), an application for viewing RSS (use Wi-Fi or not, it is not reported), voice recorder, notepad, calculator, flash games, a 8GB/16GB/32 GB of integrated memory and slot for SD card. In addition, the new Cowon V5 HD can operate as digital photo frame.

Cowon V5 HD is comes with three models, media player, e-dictionary, and DMB TV receiver. The cost of the Cowon V5 HD in South Korea is range from $299 to $380.
