DataWind has recently released an updated version of DataWind UbiSurfer netbook. The first model is running a Linux operating system. Now, they are replaces Linux with Windows CE 6.0. In addition, it still bundled with SoftMaker Office, which is allows to editing Word, Excel and PowerPoint files. The SoftMaker Office is a powerful mobile office suite.
New DataWind UbiSurfer netbook is sports a 7-inch display with resolution of 800×480 pixels, 128MB RAM, built-in 1GB flash storage, and expandable with Secure Digital card. It is equipped with Ethernet, GPRS (lack 3G), Wi-Fi, speaker, USB port, and headphone jack.
Dimensions of UbiSurfer are 222x165x29.5 mm and weight 700g. Its battery is provides up to 3 hours. DataWind UbiSurfer netbook is available in UK market for £160 (about $243).
