Datawind Ubisurfer netbook with free internet access

DataWind, which specializes in gadgets and services for Internet handsets, has released a new UbiSurfer netbook. The cost of the initial price UbiSurfer is including 30 hours per month of free Internet surfing in the first year of use.

Datawind Ubisurfer is quite simple characteristics. It has brings a 7-inch TFT display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, 1GB solid state drive and 128 MB of RAM. Their features include support for wireless standard; GPRS and Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g). Among other features are built-in microphone, speakers, and headphone jack, touchpad mouse pointer, slot for SD memory card, and three USB port. Datawind has worked with the Vodafone operator, as a result of netbook is build-in SIM card and supports the GPRS modem for Internet access, in case there is no possibility of using Wi-Fi connection.

The software includes its Datawind’s own web browser, calendar, media players, XIP Office (word processor, spreadsheet, and presentation), PDF viewer, E-mail client, Paint, and games. The size of a Datawind Ubisurfer is up 222x165x29.5 mm, and weight about 700 grams. Cost Datawind UbiSurfer is £159.99 (about $260).
