Dell and Canonical announced that they created the Ubuntu Moblin Remix operating system, designed for netbooks from Dell. It first models is Inspiron Mini 10v Ubuntu Moblin Remix Developer Edition. It is equipped with a series of Dell Mini 10v.

Moblin Remix Ubuntu is a system that based on Ubuntu-based platform optimized for mobile devices, Ubuntu Netbook Remix, and Intel Moblin 2.0 platforms. It will be implemented in Dell netbooks. The Dell Mini 10v line which debuted Ubuntu Moblin remix was only available with Windows XP or Ubuntu 8.04. User has already purchased a Mini 10v, will be able to upgrade operating system.

Dell Inspiron Mini 10v Ubuntu Moblin Remix Developer Edition has features like the original Inspiron Mini 10v. Their features are boasts Intel Atom N270 processor, 1GB of RAM and 160GB hard drive.
