Dell OptiPlex 980 Desktop and FX100 Zero Client for Performance and Flexibility
Dell has announced to introduce their commercial and slim desktop PCs, called Dell OptiPlex 980 series and Dell FX100 Zero Client. Both Dell desktop PCs are designed to help organizations of all sizes increase their IT performance while helping to reduce energy and operational costs.
The Dell OptiPlex 980 commercial desktop is powered by Intel Core i5 or Core i7 processor, an optional Intel KVM (Keyboard, Video and Mouse), and optional also SSD that will increased performance and reliability. Dell OptiPlex 980 series are offering in three different enclosure options (desktop, minitower, and small form factor). The Dell OptiPlex 980 will be available in coming weeks at worldwide market with starting price of $807.
Dell FX100 Zero Client solution is a slim desktop PC with a driverless, fan-less, and stateless form factor, which is suitable for both the Dedicated Remote Workstation and the Virtual Remote Desktop solutions. The Dell FX100 Zero Client solution is uses PC-over-IP technology (PCoIP) which is supports scenarios ranging from mainstream office use to extreme workstation/visualization application use, also does not require an application operating system, a processor, or corporate image to manage. Dimensions of Dell FX100 Zero Client solution are 9.13×3.7×6.85 inches (HxWxL).
